Cheers To 2015: More Baja Escapes!

Scott and Ursula Koenig navigating traffic in Popotla
I am very excited about 2015 and adding more Mexico exploration to our lifestyle.  The winter bounty has  been an excellent season in Valle De Guadalupe.  A new market called the Foodgarden has broken ground in Tijuana. And the Baja Women Entrepreneurs will be recognized in just a couple of weeks.  We live in San Diego (for now) and as we blog and share what we find, our regional map is Baja Norte and San Diego, with the border simply going away.    Another wine trip is being planned into  Valle De Guadalupe.  See Escapetobaja.com for details coming very soon.   Also see AGringoInMexico for in depth story on  chefs we've visited and the places to find them.

Popotla
Popotla still remains a very rustic small little fishermans bay with all kinds of fresh seafood treasures and unexpected flavor.  This is the perfect place to try new things, to take family and children. My son will also have a food blog coming soon which places like La Paz, Popotla and Oaxaca have inspired.
